Who we are
New York Machinery (NYM) is a well-established laundry equipment company located on Chancellor Avenue in Irvington, New Jersey.
The company is led by Mr. Robert N. Lee, an engineer by training, who has extensive experience in the dry cleaning equipment industry. NYM began selling dry cleaning machines manufactured by Union (Italy) in 1995 and was recognized as the #1 official dealer in the U.S. in 2008, achieving significant sales milestones.
Mr. Lee has earned a distinguished reputation within the Korean-American community through his long-standing experience in the dry cleaning and laundry industry. He is actively involved in multiple industry associations, continuously fostering new relationships across the sector.
New York Machinery launched the world’s first microbial blended soap, EM Soap, in 2004. In 2005, the company introduced the EM NATURA MACHINE, a next-generation machine developed in collaboration with NYM, Union, and Japan’s TMK, utilizing EM technology.
The company further expanded in 2010 through a partnership with Spain’s UniSec, and strengthened its distribution capabilities in 2018 and 2019 through collaborations with Italy’s Pony and Turkey’s Tolon, respectively.
Notably, Pony is a leading Italian manufacturer specializing in dry cleaning and laundry finishing equipment.
In 2023, NYM secured the exclusive U.S. sales rights for Sagacity, a premier Asian manufacturer of automated conveyor systems, further expanding its business portfolio.
Today, New York Machinery maintains a comprehensive parts inventory system for all imported equipment, ensuring fast, reliable service and high customer satisfaction.
